"I Remember When"

Time is literally flying by.
Allowing few of my possessions to last.
Commencing with my hair.
The need to part it has virtually past.
An artificial lens graces one eye,
The results of a cataract’s impairing ply.
And my  glasses I frequently need.
Essential to have them if I’m seeking to read.
Hearing aids round out my aging decline.
Not much left that was originally mine.
But I awake each morning thrilled to be alive.
Maintaining an attitude essential to survive
For me it won’t be as long as it has been.
And I frequently reminisce, thinking ...
“I remember When."

I wonder if my Grandfather,.
with the same disbelief and dismay,
viewed my generation in his time,
as I view my Grandson's today.

This card was given to me at my Surprise 75th Bidthday Party. I think it's great, and sure fits the theme of growing old.
Remember When?
I commenced a new chapter in my life when I sold Parkwood Place and relocated to Hattiesburg where I live with my son Robert in his new home.
A New Chapter
